Welcome to Villa Santirome. By booking accommodation through our website (villasantirome.com), third-party booking channels, or direct inquiry, you (“Guest”) agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your reservation.

1. Reservation & Payment Terms

  • Booking Confirmation: A reservation is officially confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit or full payment as specified during the booking process, along with a booking confirmation email from Villa Santirome.

  • Rates: All rates are quoted in the currency specified during checkout (USD or EUR) and cover accommodation for up to the maximum occupancy stated for the booked unit.

  • Payment Deadlines: Full payment must be cleared prior to check-in. Failure to complete payments by the due date may result in the cancellation of your reservation without a refund of initial deposits.

2. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-In: Standard check-in times are communicated in your booking confirmation. Guests must provide valid government-issued photo identification upon or prior to arrival.

  • Check-Out: Standard check-out must be completed by the scheduled time to allow proper cleaning and preparation for arriving guests.

  • Early Check-In / Late Check-Out: Early arrivals or late departures are subject to availability, prior written authorization, and potential additional service fees.

3. Occupancy & Visitor Policy

  • Maximum Occupancy: The maximum occupancy for each unit (e.g., 2 guests for Santirome Studio 1) must not be exceeded at any time.

  • Registered Guests Only: Only guests listed on the original reservation are permitted to stay overnight or enter the property. Unregistered outside visitors are strictly prohibited unless explicit approval is granted by management in advance.

4. House Rules & Guest Conduct

  • Quiet Hours: Guests must respect quiet hours (typically 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM) to maintain a peaceful environment for neighbors and other guests.

  • No Parties or Events: Parties, events, loud gatherings, and commercial photography or filming are strictly prohibited.

  • No Smoking: Smoking is strictly forbidden inside all indoor accommodations. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. Proper disposal of cigarette butts is required.

  • Care of Property: Guests are expected to keep the property, furniture, and appliances in a clean and safe condition throughout their stay.

5. Fair Usage Policy for Utilities (Electricity & Water)

To encourage environmental sustainability on the island while maintaining fair rental rates, utilities are subject to a Fair Usage Policy:

  • Air Conditioners: Each bedroom is equipped with air conditioning. Guests are kindly requested to turn off AC units when leaving the studio and limit daily AC use to a maximum of 10 hours per day (designed for nighttime sleeping comfort).

  • Electricity Allowance: The rental rate includes a daily allowance of 10 kWh of electricity per day, which is sufficient for standard daily use and overnight AC. Any excess electricity usage beyond this allowance will be charged at local utility rates upon check-out.

  • Water Allowance: Standard water consumption is included. Water usage exceeding standard allowance levels will be billed at €8 per cubic meter.

6. Additional Services & Paid Amenities

Paid services—including additional maid cleaning during your stay, late check-out arrangements, or optional activity/transportation coordination—are subject to availability and separate charges.

7. Damages, Losses & Cleaning Charges

  • Guest Responsibility: The guest who completes the reservation assumes financial responsibility for any damage, breakage, loss, or destruction of property caused by anyone in their party.

  • Excessive Cleaning: Standard cleaning fees cover normal turnover cleaning. If the accommodation is left in an excessively dirty state requiring specialized or extra cleaning, an additional fee will be deducted or billed.

  • Reporting Damage: Any pre-existing damage noticed upon check-in or accidents occurring during the stay must be reported to management immediately.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation policies vary depending on the rate plan and booking channel selected at the time of reservation. Please refer to your specific booking confirmation for exact cancellation deadlines and refund eligibility. No refunds are provided for early departures or unused nights.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Personal Belongings: Villa Santirome is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings, cash, or valuables left in the accommodation or parked vehicles.

  • Injuries & Accidents: Villa Santirome assumes no liability for injury, illness, or loss experienced by guests or visitors on the premises during their stay. Guests are strongly advised to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

  • Service Interruptions: Villa Santirome is not liable for temporary utility outages (water, electricity, internet) or weather conditions beyond reasonable control.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Curaçao. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
